Below I have provided two links to the FOIRs submitted in relation to West Sussex County Council and East Sussex County Council’s plans for 15 minute cities/ 20 minute neighbourhoods or Low Traffic Neighbourhoods that are in the pipeline. In both cases the County Councils have almost tried to fob us off with none answers, both stating they had no immediate plans for these type of schemes. Upon searching their websites, in both cases I found that the preliminary plans are already sketched out in their traffic plan documents. These are substantial and detailed documents which specifically refer to things like ‘decarbonisation’ and ‘Improved Air Quality’ and they mention things like Net Zero, and yet both County Councils were in my judgement being ‘obtuse’ in their replies. East Sussex County Council eventually gave a reply and I will upload a copy of their response. I have asked West Sussex County Council to reconsider their response and a reply awaits. So to be clear, these plans are well developed and we as a group need to keep an eye on how they progress. Below are the links to the traffic plans for each County Council and you will find in these documents that each area or town is discussed individually. What we need to ensure is that residents and businesses in the local areas are properly consulted. Note in the ESCC reply, they state they may well employ the delphi technique as part of their consultation, this is basically where they invite a group of people that they select and the split the group and each sub-group is assigned a facilitator who steers the group toward the outcome they want and again this is manipulation rather than consultation. So as a group we should closely monitor what they are doing. It is interesting to me that there are so many small cameras going up all over the county at all traffic light junctions and town centres and yet the state of the roads is appalling. It would also be worth looking at the general council plans and what we see is that both have committed to the idea that there is a man made climate crisis and that for this reason they will need to restrict our ability to move about in cars. We need to remind these councils that it is a constitutional right to travel, earn a living and to freely assemble. These globalist plans being implemented at a local level directly attack our human and constitutional rights and we should oppose them at all costs and many scientists worldwide do not accept that there is a climate crisis and the science is far from certain on this issue. Councils nationwide it seems have decided that there is such a crisis and I do not recall there ever having been a public debate on this issue. The councils are acting ‘ultra vires’ in my opinion.
